The Heph Academy logo comprises 2 parts: an icon that symbolizes what we stand for and our name - Heph Academy.

The ‘Heph' in Heph Academy is a contraction of Hephaestus, the Greek god of metalworking, crafting, sculpting and fire. In essence, he is the deity of practical crafts, having designed Hermes’ winged helmet and sandals, Achilles’ armour, Aphrodite’s girdle, Hercules’ clappers, Eros’s bow and arrows, Apollo’s golden chariot, Athena’s spear, among countless other creations. In our logo, the square brackets, which signify programming and are ubiquitous in the world of coding, surround the image of Hephaestus.

 

Our mission is to promote programming as a practical skill for participants to create powerful tools just as Hephaestus had. Consequently, participants would be well-equipped to impress hiring managers, become confident in their roles and achieve greater success in their careers.
